But, the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls in South Africa is seeking to change or break that cycle for certain qualified girls. Oprah's school gives gifted girls, the ones that desire an education, the opportunity to break the shackles of poverty and ignorance.

Oprah's school gives them a safe haven to learn in, a productive environment to grow in, a learning atmosphere to blossom in.
