I love Oprah as much as the next gal' , she is an inspiration the not only women but every one that has a dream.
Oprah Winfrey's leadership academy for girls is a testament to her drive to change children's life to the better. We should all strive to do the same.
If their is one thing that bothered me about Oprahs school when the story aired on television was the way they picked the girls. I believed that all the girls should have gotten a place in the academy. Every girl that applied should have gotten a place at the school if not that year but the year after.
After walking threw dangerous neigh boor hoods risking rape murder and Lord knows what else they should not have to compete with a score on a silly test to make it.
Any child can learn if we put them in the right environment learning so we can apply it to life is the key not the result on a test.
Maybe we can help Oprah Winfrey and make that change in our own school systems that are so focus on test scores instead of the actual learning.
So I say hopefully Oprah the secret holder of success maybe she can open the door for all the children who truly wants the education can help see to it that they get it no matter what their test scores shows.
